Prehistorically, Nunivak Island was inhabited by Caribu but after firearms were introduced they were exterminated, however in the 1930s and 1940s reindeer and musk ox were brought onto the island.
The headdress worn by this man from Nunivak Island may take inspiration from the Caribou/Reindeer who inhabited the Island (image taken by Edward S. Curtis)
The colours in this image are so atmospheric and ethereal, I also think the antlers are incredible.

People who reside in the Arctic rely on animals for their source of food and warmth
This Polar Bear's fur will keep someone warm either as clothing or bedding. The meat would probably feed several people over a long period of time.
So many beautiful colours and textures in this image
